Fascinating exchange, Winston! This made me think of an enthralling article called “Thinking about Thinking” (http://www.programmersstone.com/Day1.html) I read back in the nineties. The authors contrast mappers with packers. Mappers are creative, critical thinkers who intuitively map knowledge from one domain to another and can readily solve problems by drawing on their vast mental map. Packers, on the other hand, horde “knowledge packets” and rely on prefabricated solutions that have been manufactured for the specific situations they are facing.

Clearly, those of us who question the COVID narrative are mappers, whereas the NPC Covidians are packers. Thanks for reminding me of this paper as it merits further exploration in a future essay.

P.S. It appears O’Brien accidentally misspelled his name, as did Winston, although it’s correct in the title :-)

That's interesting about the mappers and packers, although very different to the concept of the left hemisphere's reliance on a 'map'. Actually almost reverse I'd say where the right hemisphere is the more intuitive.

Ah, spelling - must learn how to do that one day!

Yes, it does seem the mappers correlate more to Gilchrist’s understanding of the right hemisphere while packers align with the left hemisphere characteristics.

*lol* It’s the substance that matters, in any case :-)

Wonderful correspondence Winston. I think the mass of humanity has been living in the dark ages for quite some time.

In reading your correspondence thoughts of a novel that is about a similar correspondence (although face to face correspondence) on the same subject matter. It is out of print but you might still be able to find it. Based on your correspondence with O'Brien I think that you would enjoy it. It is titled, "The Gift of Gabe".

This is an excellent exchange. So many golden nuggets there. 'the dogma of the age became the reality over any other reality'. It seems like another dark ages is upon us or as the professor says maybe has been for some time.

Thank you Good Citizen. Yes it's been getting metaphorically darker for a while now, I agree with the good Professor. There's deeper things also that are creating the 'darkness', and some of it seems like light to some - a delusional state that I'll talk more about soon.
