Good. Some other thoughts... Much of Hezbollah's support comes from northern Syria and Israel would very much like to sever those lines at the same time hoping to capitalise in southern Syria as they are distracted. Russia can easily spare forces for Syria as their airforce is much better and bigger than it was back in 2015. Iraq and Yemen seem keen to get into the fight as well. Aleppo hasn't "fallen" as you rightly say. It has been evacuated. Watch this space. Could be a trap as the Syrian army surrounds the outskirts of Aleppo. Lots of factions vying for a slice. These mercenaries are anything but moderate. Thanks for the analysis.

This is the next stage of the road to Tehran . Israel has a limited time window . Once Ukraine is wrapped up Zrussia will focus more heavily on Syria . This is moment in which Israel appears to have made successes destroying Gaza, Hezbollah and critically damaging south Lebanon . This will pave the way to an unchallenged annexation of the West Bank whilst war rages in Syria . Whether Assad goes or not won’t really matter and if anything they will become fearful if IS really did become a credible force again . Managed chaos in Syria is a distraction for what’s coming under Trumps oversight .

Good post, Winston. The Good Citizen also had some good analysis on the situation in Syria as well. Linking both of your articles today @https://nothingnewunderthesun2016.com/

No colour movement. These rebels are Isis and other assorted Islamic crazies going for Assad. His dad of course received extreme oppobrium for an act ehich should have earned him universal acclaim, wiping out a large hive of Muslim Brotherhood thugs in Homs.

MB, of course, being the fons irigo of Islamic terrorism.
