Actually, it is the opposite: it is already distressing enough justto look at the numbers and charts. That is how HCWs cope: by being detached.

With the individual cases, we need to ask two questions. Not for the purposes of accountability or inquisition; rather to understand the context.

1. Why did you take it?

2. What research did you do?

My gut feeling, and just talking to people I know, it's 1) Pressure from (work, family, friends, social media), or because they want things to"go back to normal", and less commonly out of fear; 2) Nil (maybe talked to a doctor or listened to government propaganda).

I can understand "no jab, no job". However, if they did it for non-essential, personal/leisure, social reasons,: volenti non fit injuria. In fact, Robin Monotti said he begged his mother not to take it. She took her daily vit D and survived rowuhan unscratched; whereas Robin and his family got slapped around. They all easily recovered. She took it to be with her "friends". She got smashed! He has not done a follow-up post on Telegram on her. I said to him he has done his part; she made her bed.

That is why I don't want to hear personal stories as they evoke a mixture of emotions: distress, horror, sadness and upset/anger. I don't know why I feel upset/anger; but, I do.

I guess for me I'm looking at it from a more clinical perspective - "this is what's happening biologically". But I am moved emotionally as well from personal stories - even if people have done it for superficial reasons, if they had known that it wasn't as "safe and effective" as the government says, then they may not have been so easily swayed. The psychology of it all is fascinating.

Of course, an injury is an injury regardless. However, circumstances matter. Why? It is our body/life. Therefore we are responsible since we are the ones who directly suffer. We have accountability. It follows, naturally, that we have the power to say no. And die. Ultimately, this current experience provides many lessons for humanity to absorb. One critical lesson is the power of critical mass - not necessarily the majority. Look at Romania. Only 30% vaxed, so the govt had to close down the vax centres.

"Volenti non fit injuria" is an important principle.

I agree re "the psychology of it all is fascinating." How does one recognise truth and have the strength to act on it. In 2020 rowuhan touched identical twin sisters in USA. One chose HCQ; one did not. One recovered; one went into ICU. Identical twins!
