I have lived in France and Spain. I visited Romania.
I have friends in Portugal, Netherlands, Germany and Italy.
I am British. The EU illusion of unity is often referred to by outsiders but the reality is that each European country has not permitted its cultural identity to fade away. Yes, they use the Euro but they don't like it. Yes, they are represented by MEPs in the parliaments of Brussels and Strasburg but they still have their individual national democracies functioning well.
Nationalism never left Europe. Not even for a nano-second.

I pulled this one as a same old story: The message couldn’t be clearer, and the EU - as with most international governing bodies - does not care about the rights or opinions of everyday people, going so far as to simply label a democratically chosen government that doesn’t adhere to its ideology as illegitimate.
I think you are on to something, perhaps the best defense is to localize as much as possible, concentrating on the basics, building a solid base on that which the elite find no surpluses for them and their hierarchy, which in itself rejects the imperialist global collectivists.
There's a lot of truth in the map that underlies this good article. And there's a glaring omission. Is Critical Theory a product of Germans? The Frankfurt School did operate out of Germany and did leave Germany for the United States, but was it German? The Holomodor was perpetrated by "Soviets", but were they Russian? The US govt is evidently a tool of the Globalizers, but is the US govt controlled by Americans? Are Victoria Nuland, Anthony Blinken, and Merrick Garland "Americans"? Are there elephants in the room we must all ignore? Can we build accurate maps of our situation if we ignore the fact that the governments of the Western Nations are now "skin-suits" worn a hostile alien "elite"?
It is interesting to note that many universities now have faculties devoted to the critical investigation of every aspect of human culture, some of which have existed for a long time. They provide courses in advanced studies of every aspect of the humanities. The University of Queensland has such a school.
Very few of these schools have any connection to the (boo-hiss) dreaded Frankfurt School or Marxism.
Indeed such is the necessary function of a true University - Uni-verse meaning, one, whole and indivisible.
Such all-inclusive critical investigations are of course necessary in the now Quantum age when every culture and every human individual is (at the level of the feeling-heart) instantaneously inter-connected.
