Yep. Nailed it. The religion of wokeness infiltrated the TV/Movie business (among others) and adopted its skinsuit as a disguise to camouflage its attempt to propagandise so it can replicate itself. It parasitises its host culture like a malignant mind virus. Yet it cannot create. It can only latch on to and destroy genuine creativity, which is its distinguishing weakness.
I read they completely massacred Ian Flemings James Bond book series written back sometime in the 1940’s I think I read. I learned all of the Bond villains have/had actual historical references and significance to the author he carefully chose the countries they were from, he carefully chose all of the various devious evil plots they all had planned of either taking over the world or completely destroying it and of course the constant bevy of beautiful women James always had his pick of. It’s really sad Ian Flemings copyright could not protect his books as he had written them. It’s actually blasphemy, that they could do this to his legacy of James Bond 007 when he’s no longer here to protect his legacy. I grew up on all of the James Bond movies as my dad was British and 007 was much loved by both of us which brings me back so many fond memories of us watching James Bond films together so I found it really disturbing that they could just rewrite all of his books like that and with a woke perspective the author most definitely would not endorse or approve.
Regarding what passes for entertainment these days, I have a particular peeve.There are very few actors or actresses that aren't one dimensional and dull. The stars from the past could never have been cast in the stuff they do today.Their personalities would have had to be eliminated for the woke messaging. Can't imagine Robert Mitchum, Barbara Stanwyck, even Tommy Lee Jones appearing in this schlock to which we refer.

Spun up the excellent “1984” Criterion DVD last night. The full-frontal nudity is outstanding and very historically accurate to the decade.
